June 2024:
'OWLS' or 'Owl Trail'
On first glance these may appear the same. They're not.
For 'OWLS', members are asked to provide up six pictures which have been taken or edited in the last four weeks on ANY subject, but the title of each picture must begin with either 'O', 'W', 'L' or 'S'.
The alternative, 'Owl Trail', is designed to take you on a tour of Holt to find fascinating facts, interesting anecdotes and details of additional ‘looped trails’ revealing some of Holt’s hidden locations. It comprises 24 'reference points' identified by individual plaques. Each of these is fully detailed on the Holt Owl Trail web site www.holtowltrail.co.uk/
The DPG idea for this subject, kindly created by Bev and Gracie, is to take photos whilst following the Owl Trail around Holt. A trail booklet is available and highlights things to look out for on the route - you may see things you’ve never noticed before, - and don’t forget to look up!
All pics for this subject should be taken from the Holt Owl Trail, or close by, and if possible include these categories:
Also, why not contribute to our RANDOMS page? - whatever's caught your eye and you'd like to share - on ANY subject - just 2 shots you think will interest others, or maybe a video?
'Randoms' are never shown at meetings, they are ONLY published on the VP and remember -
ALL contributions to the VP are welcome and included.
When you've created your pics, send them to us, each one less than 5mb, in jpg format.
